Are you considering bespoke tailoring or purchasing made to measure suits? Let us take you through the bespoke tailoring process we offer at John E Monk.
First, you will have an initial consultation with us. During this, we will discuss what you are looking for. You can provide us with as much input as you like; the tailoring process is designed around you so that you can get the suit you want with a fit and style that makes you look and feel good. If you aren’t sure of what you want, we are happy to offer advice and clearly explain your options.
We will measure you and create a pattern that will be used to produce your made to measure suit. We will also discuss your fabric and detailing options during this initial consultation. We have a wide variety of quality British Made fabrics to choose from, covering different materials, colours, patterns and feel. With 45 years experience, we can advise you on how each fabric will work with your planned suit design – for example, how it will hang and how it will look.
Customisation and detailing are very important. These are what will make a made to measure suit truly feel unique to you. We will guide you through the options and you can choose detailing for every part of the suit – from the jacket, to the waistcoat and trousers.
After the initial consultation, we will invite you back for two or three fittings during crucial parts of the suit build. This allows us to check the fit of the suit and allows us to make adjustments to ensure a perfect fit for your body shape and stance. After around 6-8 weeks from the initial consultation, your new bespoke suit will be ready, perfectly tailored for you with all the details you’ve requested.
Investing in a bespoke suit is not just a purchase; it is also an experience. Steeped in tradition, you will enjoy every moment of having a suit hand-crafted for you. With 45 years experience, a friendly approach and the highest level of customer service, John E Monk can create you a bespoke or made to measure suit you will wear and treasure for many years to come.
